Actors Olivia Lonsdale, Gijs Blom and Jonas Smulders are the main cast in the psychological thriller SILK ROAD, directed by Mark de Cloe and written by Marc and Roeland Linssen. This was announced by Rinkel Film and broadcaster KRO-NCRV today.

SILK ROAD will start shooting start next week and be broadcast in the Spring of 2017 by KRO-NCRV at NPO3.

SILK ROAD is a gripping psychological thriller set in the world of cyber crime, and inspired by the darknet market where huge sales were being made. The story is told from the point of view of the clever Daphne, who is exceptionally computer-savvy. When she gets involved with one of the market’s suppliers, she eventually catches on but rolls with it, enjoying the endless possibilities. Though at the same realising she’s become part of a, to a degree, criminal world. How far will she go? Who can she trust? And who is using who?
