Director Mark de Cloe, known for MEN IN THE CITY and BOY MEETS GIRL STORIES, will be helming the Telefilm SILK ROAD this summer. The news was announced by Rinkel Film and broadcaster KRO-NCRV today.

SILK ROAD is a gripping psychological thriller set in the world of cyber crime, and inspired by stories of darknet traders. De Cloe: “SILK ROAD is a fascinating story with intriguing characters. We’re telling it from the point of view of Daphne, the clever girl living next door, who is exceptionally computer-savvy. When she eventually gets hip to what’s going on, she rolls with it, enjoying the endless possibilities. Though at the same realizing she has actually become part of a criminal world. How far will she go? Who can she trust? And who is using who?”
