Faye Bezemer
Faye Bezemer (Dordrecht, 2000) graduated as a producer at the Netherlands Film Academy in 2025 with the fiction film Niemandsland (Matthijs Sluijs) and the documentary Moeders, Moeders, Moeders (Paul Hylkema).
Faye regards well-being, safety, and sustainability—both social and ecological— as essentials for a good collaboration. She prefers to work on intimate stories that offer recognition and reassurance, with room for a little bit of magic.
In 2024, through Greenhouse for Students programme at the Film Academy's lectorate, she conducted research into safety and well-being on film sets. She wrote a paper on the topic and directed the documentary Passie maakt Blind (2025), which encourages film professionals to start the conversation about their own well-being. In addition, she worked as a production manager and executive producer on various short films, including the award-winning shorts Niemand Thuis (Meryem Çifteci, 2024) and De Jackies (Elvira Porcedda, 2024). She also followed the sustainability manager training at GreenScreen, gaining more knowledge about ecological sustainability in film production and how to guide collaboration around it.
Faye wants to contribute to a film industry in which impactful films and series can thrive through healthy and sustainable collaboration.
