We’re excited to share that Child of Their Time, our compelling documentary directed by Huibert van Wijk and nominated for a Dutch Golden Calf, is now online and available (with English subtitles) through Al Jazeera’s website and their YouTube channel as part of their International Witness Selection.

Child of their Time is a documentary about Tim, adopted from Indonesia, and his Dutch adoptive father Lex, who both look back on Tim's adoption in the 1970s. In whose interest was international adoption? Because if you ask Tim, he feels that it wasn’t in his best interest anyway.

This intimate and thought-provoking film delves into the emotional and ethical complexities of international adoption, exploring its profound impact and the lasting rifts it can leave behind.
