Producers Rinkel Film and Fastnet Films are working together again on yet another Irish-Dutch co-production, after their successful cooperation for the internationally acclaimed feature film Nothing Personal. Last week, their new project The Other Side of Sleep was granted a realization subsidy by the Netherlands Film Fund.

The new NET 5 light-drama series Floor Faber enjoyed a very successful start yesterday, as this first episode scored an average viewer rating of 713,000.

The TV series follows the life of the slightly neurotic Floor Faber (Georgina Verbaan), a girl in ther twenties looking for her big love. But deep deep down, she doesn't even want to find 'Mr. Right', because that would mean she'd have to trade in her adventures for a boring life in an average neighborhood with an average house...

The Golden Calves, the most important Dutch film award, were given out during the Gala of the Dutch Film last Friday night. Nothing Personal came out as the big winner and turned 4 of her 7 nominations into awards.

The nominations for the Golden Calves, the most important Dutch film award, were announced last Tuesday during the Talk Show of the 29th Netherlands Film Festival. Nothing Personal was nominated for the impressive number of 7 out of 17 categories.

NOTHING PERSONAL, the English-spoken feature film debut of the Dutch Urszula Antoniak (writer and director), is the big winner of the Locarno International Film Festival, one of the most important platforms of the artistic film.

The psychological thriller Blood Brothers, inspired by an infamous Dutch murder case, is very popular with festival all over the world. The film, which was nominated for 5 Golden Calves last year, will be screened at 4 leading international film festivals in March.

Stephen Rea (known from The Crying Game, Interview with a Vampire and Prêt a Porter) and actress Lotte Verbeek will play the leading roles in Nothing Personal, the feature film debut of writer/director Urszula Antoniak.

"Bloodbrothers" received nominations from the Dutch Film Festival in the categories of Best Male Actor in a Leading Role (Erik van Heijningen), Best direction (Arno Dierickx), Best music score (Johan Hoogewijs), Best production design (Vincent de Pater) and Best Male in a Supporting Role (Mathijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen).

The short children's film "Free as a Bird" has been selected for the competition programme `Kids & Youth' of the 54th International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen. This prestigious film festival takes place from 1 until 6 May 2008.
